I’m Kristopher Knight, an infrastructure and private cloud technologist with more than 20 years of experience building, operating, and improving complex IT environments.
Much of my career has centered on VMware, virtualization, networking, disaster recovery, and data center infrastructure. Over the years, that has expanded into private cloud architecture, NSX, automation, high-performance computing, AI/ML infrastructure, Linux, and modern cloud technologies. I enjoy getting deep into how systems work, solving difficult problems, and turning complicated environments into something reliable and understandable.
I’m naturally curious, so I’m usually learning something new, building something in my home lab, or writing about technology and lessons learned along the way. I’m especially interested in private cloud, virtualization, infrastructure architecture, open-source technologies, HPC, and the increasingly blurry line between traditional infrastructure and cloud engineering.
Outside of technology, I enjoy traveling, fishing, and finding places with good food and interesting stories. I’ve found that some of the best conversations have very little to do with technology.
This site is where I share what I’m working on, what I’m learning, and occasionally what I discover along the way.
